Morning
Had Maggi Assam for breakfast. Threw away the pictures/paintings that was sitting beside the dustbin for days. Also threw away the glass panels. Thank God for the big dustbin @ Caltex.
Zouk
Have decided to go for the Zouk opening. Haven't been partying for a long time.
Coke-Botttle piggy bank
The amount is now $591. Took 8 years to save this amount of $1 coins.
Contractor
He came at 10:30 am as promised. Regarding the flooring beside the PC & the flooring in Mei's room, grinding and rework is required. The door frame of the bathrooms and the staircase will be done tomorrow. He also asked for the 2nd payment tomorrow.
Fatty Weng
Took 67 down. Their wedding package is also the same for normal functions. There's no discount though.
Big Mess!
Just found out that Fatty Weng allowed someone else to book 24 June 2006. They even got the deposit. What the fuck?! He promised to get back to me. According to the manager, the other couple booked on 14 May 2005, which was the day of Mei's baptism. I remember going down on 30 Apr to ask for the date & going down on 9 Jul to look at the place. The lady captain even said that the date is available. I gave them the afternoon to sort the mess out, even if it means Mummy & I pay the deposit next week. If not, the birthday & wedding will go to establishments that keep to their word and we'll boycott Fatty Weng.
Claypot Laksa
Went on to Alexandra Village for Claypot Laksa. This is the first time I see the stall without a queue.
Maggi Goreng
Took 51 to Fong Seng area for Maggi Goreng. Only 3 tables are occupied.
The way home
Bought Carlsberg Export label & mineral water from 7-eleven before taking a 2.5 hr walk home. Based on the amount of calories burnt, this should be the healthiest 2.5 hrs I've spent for months apart from my reservist.
Fatty Weng
Called the manager at 4:50 pm. The lady at the other line replied that he will only be back by 6 pm. There's a 70% chance that I'll just switch establishments.
Lease Expired
The manager called back. Fatty Weng's lease will expire next Mar. He said for those wedding dinner from Mar onwards, they will have to return the deposit. ???. What crap? Don't they know it way beforehand huh? He claims that he only know about it recently. Hmm. If I don't call them about Uncle Teck Hui's birthday dinner, wonder when the bombshell will drop on me.
Grand Copthorne Hotel
Zouk is closed for private function until 9 pm. So Laval & I went to The Piano Bar here. Service and ambience is not too bad. I had Long Island Tea while Laval had some cocktail with menthol leaves.
Wine Bar
Had super strong Long Island Tea. There's not much changes to the wine bar. Played 5-10 with Laval in French and then in Chinese. 0 is Zevo. 5 is Sang. 10 is Jist. 15 is Katz. 20 is Ving. Not as intuitive as Asian Languages.
Velvet
Velvet was our next stop. Exchanged our coupons for another 2 glasses of Long Island Tea. Took a seat at the new & harder Velvet chairs (Prefer the old one). I'm surprised that everyone else was standing except for the both of us. They should know by now that those 'reserved' signs are for show right?
Phuture
This place now plays R & B music. But that's the only plus point. The bars have been shifted to make the place wider. The crowd is full of guys. Anyone can be forgiven for thinking that this is an ORD function or something similar.
Zouk
The most disappointing of all. No noticeable changes to it. Spent less than 10 minutes inside.
Fight
There was a fight in Phuture. Bouncers seem to appear out of nowhere to pull the offending parties out.
Crowded
By 12+. It is impossible to walk along the Zouk/Phuture passageway due to the crowd. Left the place through the Phuture exit.
Nasi Goreng
Packeted Nasi Goreng from Adam Road. Ever since the old man retired, the standard had dropped.
Still awake
Mummy & Mei are still awake when I got home arund 1:15 am.
