Skipping breakfast today
On Mummy’s suggestion. Since we would be having lunch soon.

Arsenal 3-0 Sparta Prague
Hopefully they do well in Europe. They have been underachieving in Europe since God knows when.
Wrong Interest?
Mummy compared the 2 statements from Hong Leong Bank. One is from 13 Aug 2005 to 12 Sep 2005. The other is from 13 Sep 2005 to 12 Oct 2005. They showed RMx & RMx of interest respectively. Total is RMx. But according to our calculations, they should be RMx & RMx with a total of RMx. I think there was a cock-up somewhere in the interest calculating software between 13 Aug and 12 Sep. So the bank compensated for it for the next month.
Painting of drain barrier outside our house
Could see workmen doing it. They probably waited for the rubish truck to clear the rubbish before coming. Started with a coat of white paint. It is as if the government is co-inciding it with the repainting of my house.
Cable Clips
Hammered in the cable clips in Mummy’s room. Now the cables won’t dangle around anymore.
Ling & I tried to call each other at the same time
This is quite remarkable. Maybe in the English language, it is called Chemistry. Told her about the plans to paint the shelves and badminton today.
Hari Raya
Today is Hari Raya. So we brought Resti out for lunch.
Picking up Mei
We picked her up from Far Horizon Condominium at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 9.
Long Drive
We then drove to Bukit Batok. Going through Mandai Road, BKE & Dairy Farm Road.
Val's call
She called about a web page on HDB's website that lists out the last transacted resale price broken down by block. Most of the 4-rms at 63B are around $340k.
Lunch
Went Bukit Batok for lunch. The coffee shop with the vegetarian dishes.
Granny's $6.90 haircut
Went back to Blk 63B. $6.90 is actually for Guys. $8.90 was actually the ladies' price.
Buying paint
Stopped over at Farrer Road so that Mummy could buy grey paint for the shelves.
Honda Jazz
Sped with a maroon Honda Jazz on ECP near Marina South. We were doing 120 kmh to 130 kmh. It's been a long time since I sped like this. So fun.
Parking at Esplanade
It's $1 for the first hour on public holidays. For weekdays, it's free from 12 noon to 2 pm. For Sundays, it is free from 6 am to to 2 pm.
Esplanade Waterfront
Went there with Ling. Lots of Indonesian & Bangladesh workers around. I think it's because of Hari Raya.
Wakeboarding
There were a group of people wakeboarding at Marina Bay. Giving us more things to see.
63B
Val called. The owners agreed to $x. But they requested for 45 days before going to HDB for release of the purchase option. I consulted Mummy and asked them to reduce to 30 days in return. This is quite a good piece of news. Estimated month of moving in is Apr. But Ling isn't quite supportive. She's still going on about the low floor and the corridor.
Dinner
Dropped Ling and went home for dinner. There was Fried Egg & Tau Kua.
Shangrila Park
Had a talk with Mummy. Didn't know that we actually paid the down payment for the semi-detached house at Shangrila Park. The deal fell through when the owner refused to wait for us to sell our place at Hua Guan Avenue. It was a blessing in disguise. As the property prices collapsed. For the house at Hua Guan, it was dropping at 100k per week.
Val
Spoke to Mummy about Val on the way to badminton. I would rate on the same level as Alex, Yeo, Kit & co.
Badminton
Aunt Soh Heng & Uncle Teck Whai joined us for badminton. They’ve not played with us for the long time. Ziteng and Zijie were not free. So for today, I’m the youngest around.
Called Ling
Spoke on the phone with her after I came back. We talked further about the flat.
