Got woken up by Doris' phone call. Luckily she called. Coz I realised that my XDA is in silent mode since yesterday's meeting. Bathed and went down for breakfast. Jiak Hiang is here too. Walked to GELC. Yong Kiat managed to get a screen capture of the RSA system. Cai Wei passed me an updated copy of the GELC IT Staff Telephone list. Had a meeting on the Application Architecture Abstraction in the morning w Peng Yong, Qin Penghong & Zhang Hong. Went through the Cai Wei's Application Architecture Document and discussed on how China BIPS can follow the Architecture Document. We had the meeting in the small meeting room behind the receptionist. It was quite stuffy. Maybe because the projector was hot and there were a lot of people in the room. Helped Swee Heang in adding a form to her survey. Went 颐之时大酒楼 for lunch again. This time it's the 4 of us, Yong Kiat & Peng Yong. We opted for less spicy dishes today. Yong Kiat is starting to talk like China people. Loud & chatty. Maybe the Freddy effect has rubbed off on him. Cai Wei, Swee Heang & Doris went to the giant bookshop for shopping while I wandered around and took my own photos. Went for Requirements meeting with CAD. Xiangyi, Tu Xiaomei joined us. Song Qi, the cute BA also joined us. Lots of problems with China e-Bao. Quite a number of requirements are not met. Lots of business rules are implemented manually from CAD side. Meeting ended @ 4:15 pm. Helped Swee Heang to type out the Training Survey (Chinese Version) as well as review the RSA Template as she's busy with the minutes of the CAD meeting. Novena Furninshing called to confirm delivery of Bed & Wardrobe on 23 May between 9:30 am and 12 noon. Went for a company function @ the 56th floor. This building is called WTCC and it's the tallest building in South-West China. They are celebrating the granting of the insurance license to Great Eastern. Opened my 2 bottles of Absolut Vanilla there. We finished the 2 bottles within an hour. We then went KTV. I think almost everyone can drink very well. I got quite drunk too. I vaguely remember Freddy opening 7 bottles. When we left the place @ 2+ am, there were only 2 bottles left. Yong Kiat walked me back to the hotel room. I don't even remember how come my room key ended up with him. He said that Lily passed my room key to him.

Noticed that GELC staff here are very 'on'. Not sure if it's because there are foreigners around. They really look so serious, prim & proper in office. But once the partying starts, it's alcohol, alcohol & alcohol. I'm surprised that there are more girls going to party than guys. They are also more aggressive. During the GELC event, there was an impromptu announcement for staff to go up to express what they felt about GELC. One guy went up. The rest were all girls. If it's Singapore, I don't think anyone will actually go up.
