A bit pissed as Kit still doesn’t want to drink anything. By now I didn’t even feel like drinking anything.

Kit finally comes. Andy drinks Red Wine with him. Alex and Yeo matched the beer-drinking. I relented and drank the brandy with him.

Jo wasn’t feeling well. So Kit came and joined us. Chuan Hao also joined us. But he needed to go home. So Chuan Hao shared 1 glass of Brandy 7-up with Kit before leaving.

Not sure how much we drank already. But by now, Kit is already puking in the toilet. I played 5-10 with Alex for the remainder of the alcohol.

We walked Kit back to his room.

Yeo and Alex told me that I shouldn’t have showed my anger at Kit just now. Coz we should keep a happy atmosphere and he was visibly hurt after I said those things to him. In short, they said that I’m like a child who insist on things going his way. Lots of thought-provoking conversation now.

Finally got to sleep.

Got woken up by Andy’s handphone alarm and couldn’t get back to sleep. So I got up and wrote my diary. The 3 of them are still sound asleep. I still remember the conversations we had last night. Am I really such a tyrant who insist on things my way? I guess the damn hard true answer should be yes as even my closest friends think that way. Yeo and Alex said sometimes, I should just learn to relax as I take everything too seriously. This is probably the root cause of everything. This is a perfect time and place for self-reflection. Quiet room except for snoring sounds of 3 persons. Air-conditioning and a laptop. By the way, there are several wireless networks but I can’t connect to any of them.
[0825] - Walking outside Lucky Plaza
Some Sony staff hanging around waiting for their roadshow booth to open. No shoppers on the walkway yet. Most of them are staff.
[0830] - MacDonald’s, Lucky Plaza
Came here for the ‘Big Breakfast’ and some fresh milk..
[0845] - MacDonald's, Open air area outside Lido
Bought 3 meals for Yeo, Alex and me. I still felt hungry despite the Big Breakfast earlier. There is an offer of 1 free meal with every 2 meals purchased. Total cost is only $9.90. Got the Fillet-O-Fish meal for Yeo as he can’t take beef. For Alex and I, it is Sausage MacMuffin with Egg.

Got back to the hotel. Yeo woke up at the smell of the food.

Fire Alarm in the hotel. Damn. Everyone in this building will have woken up by now.

Electricity power trip. How bad can it get? Yeo then called 2416 to see if Kit has a power trip. Only to hear a sleepy Jo’s voice. He then called the hotel to ask about the power trip. The management said that only certain rooms are affected and it will last at most half-an hour. A good time to go to the Jacuzzi as it still has power.

Andy went home. The 3 of us still lazed around in bed. With Alex playing the jester trying to ‘provoke’ us into doing something bad to him.

Electricity is finally back as promissed. TV is showing some Wimbledon match between Steffi Graf and Java Novotna. That’s more than 10 years ago.
[1130] - Mariott Hotel
Kit came by and we hung out a while in the room. Now is tuned to HBO and there’s ‘Tango and Cash’ on TV. We decide to watch Batman Begins at Lido later.

Yeo used his Citibank card to pay for the movie tickets as there’s going to be free pop-corn. The movie is a little draggy at the start. It started from Batman’s (Bruce Wayne) time as a child. How he fell into a hole and got attacked by bats. Ever since then, he had a fear for bats. Then during one play performance, there were people dressed as bats and he got scared. When they got out, they were robbed and got killed, leaving Bruce an orphan. He then lived somewhere else, came back and wanted to take revenge. But some underworld mafia also hated the robber, so the robber got killed instead by the mafia. Bruce somehow got dis-illushioned and boarded a ship to see the world. He lived like a beggar, before being sported by some Ninja society called the League of Shadows. He was trained in Jujitsu. But the League of Shadows had extremist views, they wanted to kill the crimininals in the form of street justice. Bruce backed out at the last minute and burnt down the place last minute. Bruce then came back as Batman as he wanted to rid Gotham City of crime. The some mafia boss got caught red-handed with Batman’s help in a drug-bust. It turns out there’s an even bigger bad guy in the form of Scarecrow. He was also caught. This scarecrow reports to a mystery person. Near the end, it is the people from the League of Shadows. They wanted to destroy Gotham City as there’s too much crime. So Batman fought against them and killed them.

There’s Crystal Jade Kitchen. We had a simple lunch of Porridge, Bean Curd and Wan Tan Mee. Ling called to meet at Tanjong Pagar at 8:30 pm.

We checked out. Learnt from the receptionist that there’s no late checkout for Kit tomorrow. Although they were promised it yesterday. There was some ‘polite argument’. In the end, it was settled at 2 pm. Yeo fetched Kit and Jo to Silat Road to get their car. Then he fetched me home. Jo gave some Spa voucher to Yeo as a thank-you gift.

Reached home and crashed out.

Just arrived and met Ling at the station. They are planning to go Eski Bar tonight.

Ling had dinner here. Yen Peng and Jian Hui joined us.

Eski Bar is full. So we are going to the one at Boat Quay.

We had trouble locating legal lots along the road. So we parked at the UOB car park. Eski Bar at Boat Quay is also full. We then went to the Jazz Bar.

Shared a bottle of White Wine with Laval. The girls ordered Snowball. Found out that Laval is Haka too. Even though I knew him for so long I didn’t know that he’s Haka. We were comparing the different languages. Creole and French are very refined languages. Even a sentence like ‘My boss sucks’ is translated to ‘Chef, pa bu’ in Creole and ‘Mo chef, mi pa bu’ in French. Sounds like a title of a classical French movie. ‘Where’s the toilet’ is translated to ‘Ku Toilette, e te’.
