Eating with Ling now. She was feeling hungry. Earlier on, went to the career fair at Suntec. I should call it the Education fair. More than two-thirds of the booths were from educational institutes. The only organisations seriously hiring were MOE, MHA, Jobstreet and insurance companies. The insurance companies themselves are just looking for agents. One Chinese Idiom to describe this poor excuse for a lousy career fair. Gua4 Yang2 Tou2 Mai4 Gou3 Rou4. Great Eastern also had a booth there. Obviously, they were only interested in new agents. On the way out. A signboard advertising the San Miguel Asian 9-ball tour caught my attention. Didn't even realise the tour is in Sg now. The seats that could see the actual action had to be earned by queuing up. I opted for those white plastic seats near a giant TV screen showing the action inside. San Miguel is going for $5 a plastic cup. Caught the last 2 games. Wu Chia Ching was kicking the ass of another Chinese guy. Right now waiting for Ling's friends to decide on how they want to do dinner. Women! They've been at it for the last half an hour. Me and my friends could perform this monumental task within seconds. KFC now getting more and more crowded. Sharing a Shrooms meal ($2.55) and 2 cheese fries ($2.80) with Ling. I suspect that the sauce from the whipped potato is the same as the Shrooms burger. That explains the relatively low price. So far so good. My Saturday has been enjoyable so far. Efren Reyes (my favourite pool player) will be squaring off at 6:30 pm with some player that I dunno. Bustamante will be playing at 8 pm. Long queues everywhere. This is a real typical Singaporean weekend. I wouldn't be seen here if not for the fact that Ling is meeting her colleagues here. We could have just met at a coffee shop or something.
