Finally in bed. Got to meet many of Edwin's and Fai's common friends at the wake. Couldn't recognise Terence at all. Fatherhood has taken a toll on him. He has slimmed down drastically. As usual, we had alcohol. Tiger beer. What else? Good as gold around the world. Even at a wake. Oh ya. Regarding the eCargo dinner. I was the first there. Followed by Jiak Hiang. Then Eng Lee and Boon Siong. Had to endure the first few moments managing a conversation with them. Have no problems conversing with them on a one to one basis. But taking on 3 of them was a formidable task. In the end, I spent quality time on consumption matters. 'The entourage' comprising Stephen, Tang Seng, Larry, Xinhui, Cindy, Esther * 2, Daxin, Dharmesh finally arrived. For some geogrphical reasons, Daxin was seated with Dharmesh. For a while, I thought this will be an alcohol-free evening. Everyone was finding excuse not to drink. In the end, the jugs began coming in. Xinhui even had the audacity to order Long Island Tea. Larry followed suit thinking it was real tea. 15 minutes later his drink was still there. By then the alcohol was already doing its work. Suggested a pool game to ease the consumption of the remaining alcohol. It did work. After 2 games of 8-ball, nothing was left. Soon it was time to go. And it's time for me to sleep now.
